Plugins from instant.ai for Claude, ChatGPT, and coding agents. Each plugin bundles an MCP server pointer, skills that teach the agent when and how to use it, and slash commands. The same plugin directory installs into Claude chat, Cowork, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Grok Bot, and Grok Build; only the manifest file differs per client.
| Plugin | What it does | MCP server |
|---|---|---|
| instant | Domain availability across hundreds of extensions, bulk checks, alternatives when a name is taken, and USPTO trademark search | https://mcp.instant.ai/mcp, no auth |
Nothing here runs code on your machine. Every plugin is a hosted MCP pointer plus markdown. See each plugin's README for the endpoints it calls.
The marketplace name is instant-marketplace; plugin ids are the directory
names under plugins/.
claude plugin marketplace add instant-labs/agent-plugins
claude plugin install instant@instant-marketplaceInstall Instant from the Claude directory.
To install from this repository instead:
- Open Customize → Plugins → Add → Add marketplace and enter
https://github.com/instant-labs/agent-plugins. - Install Instant from
instant-marketplace. - Open the plugin's Connectors tab and add or connect the Instant server
at
https://mcp.instant.ai/mcp. No account or sign-in is needed for Instant. On Claude Team and Enterprise, an Owner first adds the connector for the organization. - Try "Check shipwright across .com, .dev, .io, and .ai" or "Brainstorm five names for a matcha cafe and check their .com registration status."
Skills and commands work in chat and Cowork; chat treats commands as skills. If you already added the Instant connector, use the same server URL so Claude can reuse that connection.
Install Instant from the ChatGPT plugin directory. No account or sign-in is needed for Instant.
codex plugin marketplace add https://github.com/instant-labs/agent-plugins
codex plugin add instant@instant-marketplaceSearch for Instant under Settings → Plugins. If it is
not listed yet, click Import under Team Marketplaces and paste
https://github.com/instant-labs/agent-plugins, then install it from there.
grok plugin marketplace add instant-labs/agent-plugins
grok plugin install instant --trustnpx skills add instant-labs/agent-pluginsThis installs the skills without the MCP server. Add the server yourself from instant.ai/mcp.
We renamed this plugin. The plugin id, its main skill, and its MCP server are
now instant instead of instantdomainsearch, and the server lives at
https://mcp.instant.ai/mcp. The marketplace name is still
instant-marketplace.
Your client treats the new id as a different plugin, so an existing install keeps running the old one until you replace it. The old endpoint stays online, so nothing breaks in the meantime. To switch:
Claude Code:
claude plugin uninstall instantdomainsearch@instant-marketplace
claude plugin marketplace update instant-marketplace
claude plugin install instant@instant-marketplaceCodex:
codex plugin remove instantdomainsearch@instant-marketplace
codex plugin marketplace upgrade
codex plugin add instant@instant-marketplaceGrok Build:
grok plugin uninstall instantdomainsearch
grok plugin marketplace update
grok plugin install instant --trustCursor and Grok Bot: remove Instant Domain Search under Settings → Plugins, refresh the marketplace, and install Instant.
Start a new session afterwards so the renamed skills and tools load. In Claude
Code the commands are now /instant:domain and /instant:domain-variations.
If you installed the skills only, remove the old instantdomainsearch skill
and run npx skills add instant-labs/agent-plugins again. If you added the
MCP server by hand, replace its entry with instant at
https://mcp.instant.ai/mcp.

scripts/validate.py checks manifests and catalogs agree
Skills refer to tools by their MCP name (search_domains) and the server
(instant), never a client's prefixed form, so one skill file
serves every client.
Run python3 scripts/validate.py before you push; CI runs the same check.
