Become a sponsor to Ganapati V S
Hi, I'm Ganapati, guns in most places. I've been putting small open source things on GitHub since 2013, usually because I wanted something to exist and couldn't find a version I liked.
What I'm building now
microcharts is where most of my nights go. 106 word-sized chart types for React: zero runtime dependencies, accessible by default, small enough to sit inside a sentence, a table cell, or a streamed AI answer. It is the most ambitious thing I have written on my own time, and the one I most want to keep working on.
Alongside it: react-delightful-scroller (virtualized infinite scrolling), react-spectrum (colorful text placeholders), and priority, a new-tab extension I built for myself and never stopped using.
There is also a long tail of older repos going back to 2013 that people still install: bttn.css, react-dynamic-import, pure-cache and friends.
What sponsorship pays for
Time, mostly. None of this fails for lack of ideas. It fails in the unglamorous middle: replying to issues, cutting releases, writing docs, fixing the accessibility bug nobody reported but everybody hit, keeping dependencies from rotting. That is the part sponsorship funds, and it is the part that decides whether a library is still safe to install three years from now.
If you or your team ship something built on any of this, sponsoring is the most direct way to keep it maintained.
Elsewhere
I write now and then at meetguns.com about charts, React, and web performance. Based in Karnataka, India. Design and sport get whatever hours are left.
Any amount helps, and it is genuinely good to know someone out there is using this stuff.
